To create a new account on a Mac, follow these steps:
Method 1: Create a new user account from the Users & Groups preferences
- Click the Apple menu and select "System Preferences."
- Click "Users & Groups."
- Click the "+" button at the bottom left corner of the window.
- Enter the following information:
- Name: Enter the name you want to use for the new account.
- Account name: Enter a unique name for the account (this will be the username).
- Password: Enter a password for the new account.
- Verify: Enter the password again to verify.
- Password hint: Enter a hint to help the user remember their password (optional).
- Click "Create" to create the new account.
Method 2: Create a new user account from the login window
- Restart your Mac and hold down the "Shift" key while it boots up.
- Release the "Shift" key when you see the login window.
- Click "Other" at the bottom of the login window.
- Enter the following information:
- Name: Enter the name you want to use for the new account.
- Account name: Enter a unique name for the account (this will be the username).
