Create a new data frame on arcmap

To create a new data frame in ArcMap, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open ArcMap and create a new map document by going to File > New > Map Document.
  2. In the Catalog window, right-click on the Data Frames folder and select New > Data Frame.
  3. In the Create Data Frame dialog box, enter a name for your data frame in the Name field. You can also specify a description and set the data frame's extent.
  4. Click OK to create the new data frame.
  5. The new data frame will be added to the Data Frames folder in the Catalog window.
  6. You can now add layers to the new data frame by dragging and dropping them from the Catalog window or by using the Add Data tool.

Alternatively, you can also create a new data frame by using the Add Data Frame tool:

  1. Open ArcMap and create a new map document by going to File > New > Map Document.
  2. Go to View > Data Frame > Add Data Frame.
  3. In the Add Data Frame dialog box, enter a name for your data frame in the Name field. You can also specify a description and set the data frame's extent.
  4. Click OK to create the new data frame.
  5. The new data frame will be added to the Data Frames folder in the Catalog window.
  6. You can now add layers to the new data frame by dragging and dropping them from the Catalog window or by using the Add Data tool.

Note: You can also create a new data frame by using the Data Frame tool in the Tools palette. To do this, go to View > Tools > Data Frame, and then click and drag the tool to create a new data frame.
