As of 2019, the NYSC allowance structure for corps members in Nigeria is as follows:
- Monthly allowance: N33,000 (approximately $90 USD)
- Monthly feeding allowance: N10,000 (approximately $27 USD)
- Total monthly allowance: N43,000 (approximately $117 USD)
Other Benefits
In addition to the monthly allowance, corps members also receive other benefits, including:
- Free accommodation in the NYSC camp
- Free medical care
- Free transportation to and from the camp
- Free uniforms and other NYSC materials
- Opportunity to participate in the NYSC Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program
