Coronavirus ghanas afcon 2021 qualifying double header against sudan postponed

According to reports, the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying double header between Ghana and Sudan has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The matches were initially scheduled to take place on March 25 and 30, 2021, but the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that they have been postponed to a later date.

The decision to postpone the matches was made due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions imposed by governments to contain the spread of the virus. The CAF has stated that it will work with the Ghana Football Association and the Sudan Football Association to reschedule the matches at a later date.

Ghana is currently top of Group C in the AFCON qualifying campaign, with 10 points from four matches, while Sudan is third with three points from four matches. The Black Stars are looking to qualify for the AFCON tournament, which is scheduled to take place in Cameroon from January 9 to February 6, 2022.

It's worth noting that the postponement of the matches is not unique to Ghana and Sudan, as many other international football matches have been postponed or cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
