Coronavirus arsenal players on 14 days self isolation
As of March 2020, several Arsenal players have been placed on 14-day self-isolation due to coming into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. Here are the players who have been affected:
- Mesut Ozil: The German midfielder was placed on self-isolation after his wife, Amine Gulse, tested positive for COVID-19.
- Sead Kolasinac: The Bosnian defender was also placed on self-isolation after coming into contact with someone who had tested positive for the virus.
- Sokratis Papastathopoulos: The Greek defender was placed on self-isolation after being in close proximity to someone who had tested positive for COVID-19.
- Shkodran Mustafi: The German defender was placed on self-isolation after being in close proximity to someone who had tested positive for COVID-19.
- Calum Chambers: The English defender was placed on self-isolation after being in close proximity to someone who had tested positive for COVID-19.
All of these players were placed on self-isolation as a precautionary measure, and they will be re-evaluated after the 14-day period to determine if they are still at risk of contracting the virus.
It's worth noting that Arsenal has taken several measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 within the club, including:
- Implementing social distancing measures in the training ground and stadium
- Reducing the number of people allowed in the training ground and stadium
- Increasing the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting surfaces
- Encouraging players and staff to wash their hands regularly
- Providing personal protective equipment (PPE) to players and staff
The club has also been working closely with the UK government and health authorities to ensure that all necessary measures are being taken to prevent the spread of the virus.
