Corel x8 new document size not working

Frustrating!

CorelDRAW X8 can be a bit finicky when it comes to setting up new document sizes. Here are a few troubleshooting steps to help you resolve the issue:

  1. Check the Units: Ensure that the units are set to the correct measurement system (e.g., inches, centimeters, pixels) in the Units dropdown menu (located in the File menu > Document Properties > Units). Make sure it matches the units you want to use for your new document.
  2. Verify the Document Preset: CorelDRAW X8 comes with pre-defined document presets. Try creating a new document using one of these presets (e.g., Letter, A4, Tabloid) to see if the issue persists. If it does, then the problem might be specific to the custom document size you're trying to create.
  3. Check the Document Size Fields: Ensure that the Width and Height fields in the New Document dialog box are not set to zero or a very small value. Try setting them to a larger value (e.g., 8.5 inches, 11 inches) and see if the issue resolves.
  4. Disable the "Use Default" Option: In the New Document dialog box, uncheck the Use Default option next to the Width and Height fields. This will allow you to enter custom values for the document size.
  5. Try Creating a New Document with a Different Name: Sometimes, a document with a specific name can cause issues. Try creating a new document with a different name to see if the problem persists.
  6. Check for Corrupted Preferences: Corrupted preferences can cause issues with document creation. Try resetting your CorelDRAW preferences by going to Edit > Preferences > Reset Preferences. This will reset all your preferences to their default values.
  7. Update CorelDRAW: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, try updating CorelDRAW to the latest version. You can check for updates by going to Help > Check for Updates.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may want to try searching for specific solutions related to your problem or reaching out to Corel's support team for further assistance.
