Contacts in new gmail
In the new Gmail interface, contacts are managed through the "Contacts" tab, which can be accessed in several ways:
- Navigation menu: Click on the three horizontal lines () in the top left corner of the Gmail window, then select "Contacts" from the dropdown menu.
- Compose email: While composing an email, you can click on the "To" field and start typing a name or email address. Gmail will suggest matching contacts from your contact list.
- Search bar: Type "contacts" in the search bar at the top of the Gmail window to access the Contacts tab.
Once you're in the Contacts tab, you can:
- View and manage contacts: See a list of your contacts, including their names, email addresses, phone numbers, and other details. You can also edit or delete contacts from this page.
- Create new contacts: Click on the "New contact" button to add a new contact to your list.
- Import contacts: You can import contacts from other email providers, such as Yahoo or Outlook, or from a CSV file.
- Export contacts: You can export your contacts to a CSV file or to another email provider.
- Organize contacts: You can organize your contacts into groups or labels to make it easier to find specific contacts.
Some other features to note:
- Contact cards: When you hover over a contact's name, a contact card will appear with additional information, such as their profile picture, job title, and company.
- Contact suggestions: As you type a name or email address in the "To" field, Gmail will suggest matching contacts from your contact list.
- Contact labels: You can add labels to your contacts to categorize them or to make it easier to find specific contacts.
I hope that helps!
