Confession of Faith

Dear God, I come before you today with a humble heart, ready to confess my faith in you and your Son, Jesus Christ.

I believe in you, the one true God, the Creator of heaven and earth, who is eternal, all-powerful, and all-knowing. I believe that you are a God of love, who desires a personal relationship with me and with all people.

I believe in Jesus Christ, your only Son, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and lived a sinless life. I believe that Jesus is the Savior of the world, who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day, conquering death and sin.

I believe that Jesus is the only way to salvation, and that through faith in him, I can have eternal life with you. I believe that he is the Lord and Savior of all, and that he is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, who is the third person of the Trinity, and who is the giver of life and the guide of all believers. I believe that the Holy Spirit is present in my life, empowering me to live a life that is pleasing to you.

I confess that I am a sinner, and that I have fallen short of your glory. I confess that I have rebelled against you and your ways, and that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed. But I am grateful that you are a God of mercy and forgiveness, and that you have promised to forgive me of all my sins.

I believe that you are a God of love and mercy, and that you have called me to follow you and to live a life that is pleasing to you. I believe that you have given me the gift of faith, and that you have called me to be a part of your family, the church.

I confess that I am not perfect, and that I will continue to struggle with sin and temptation. But I am committed to following you and to living a life that is pleasing to you. I am committed to being a disciple of Jesus Christ, and to sharing the good news of his love with others.

I pray that you will accept me as your child, and that you will give me the gift of the Holy Spirit to guide and empower me. I pray that you will use me to bring glory to your name, and that you will help me to be a light to the world.
