Cisco sr not accepting aa new model
A common issue!
When Cisco Smart Reach (SR) is not accepting a new model, it's usually due to one of the following reasons:
- Model not registered: The new model might not be registered in the Cisco SR database. You can try registering the new model by following these steps:
- Log in to the Cisco SR portal.
- Click on "Models" and then "Register a New Model".
- Fill in the required information, such as the model number, description, and manufacturer.
- Click "Register" to add the new model to the database.
- Model already exists: It's possible that the new model is already registered in the Cisco SR database, but with a different name or description. Try searching for the model in the database to see if it already exists.
- Model not supported: Cisco SR might not support the new model. Check the Cisco SR documentation or contact Cisco support to see if the new model is supported.
- Incorrect model number: Double-check the model number you're entering. Make sure it's correct and matches the model number on the device.
- Network connectivity issues: Ensure that your network connection is stable and you can access the Cisco SR portal.
- Browser issues: Try using a different browser or clearing your browser cache and cookies to see if that resolves the issue.
- Cisco SR configuration: Check your Cisco SR configuration to ensure that it's set up correctly. You can refer to the Cisco SR documentation or contact Cisco support for assistance.
If none of these solutions work, you can try contacting Cisco support for further assistance. They can help you troubleshoot the issue and provide guidance on how to resolve it.
