Chrome open tab in new window
A simple yet useful trick!
To open a new tab in a new window in Google Chrome, you can use the following methods:
Method 1: Keyboard Shortcut
- Press
Ctrl + N
(Windows/Linux) orCmd + N
(Mac) to open a new window. - In the new window, navigate to the URL you want to open in a new tab.
- Press
Ctrl + T
(Windows/Linux) orCmd + T
(Mac) to open a new tab in the new window.
Method 2: Right-Click Menu
- Right-click on the Chrome browser icon in the taskbar (Windows) or dock (Mac).
- Select "New Window" from the context menu.
- In the new window, navigate to the URL you want to open in a new tab.
- Right-click on the URL bar and select "New Tab" to open a new tab in the new window.
Method 3: Browser Settings
- Click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the Chrome browser window.
- Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the "On startup" section.
- Click on "Open a specific page or set of pages" and select "New tab" from the dropdown menu.
- Click "Apply" to save the changes.
Now, whenever you open a new tab, it will open in a new window instead of a new tab in the same window.
