Chinese man quarantined at lagos airport tests negative to coronavirus

According to reports, a Chinese national who was quarantined at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos, Nigeria, has tested negative for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The individual, who was traveling from China, was identified as a potential risk due to the ongoing outbreak of the virus in China and was placed under quarantine as a precautionary measure.

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and the Lagos State Government collaborated to conduct the necessary tests, including a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, which is the most sensitive and reliable method for detecting the virus.

The test results, which were released on February 13, 2020, showed that the individual was negative for COVID-19. This means that the individual does not have the virus and is not a risk to public health.

The Lagos State Government and the NCDC have commended the individual for cooperating with the authorities and for being cleared of the virus. The government has also assured the public that it is taking all necessary measures to prevent the spread of the virus in Nigeria.

It's worth noting that Nigeria has not reported any confirmed cases of COVID-19, and the government is working closely with international health authorities to monitor the situation and prevent the spread of the virus.
