China's new airports
China has been rapidly expanding its airport infrastructure in recent years, with many new airports opening or under construction. Here are some of the new airports in China:
- Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) - Opened in 2019, this is one of the largest airports in the world, with a capacity to handle 45 million passengers per year.
- Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA) - Opened in 2018, this airport is a major hub for Shanghai and has a capacity to handle 40 million passengers per year.
- Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN) - Opened in 2018, this airport is a major hub for Guangzhou and has a capacity to handle 45 million passengers per year.
- Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport (SZX) - Opened in 2018, this airport is a major hub for Shenzhen and has a capacity to handle 45 million passengers per year.
- Chengdu Tianfu International Airport (TFU) - Opened in 2020, this airport is a major hub for Chengdu and has a capacity to handle 40 million passengers per year.
- Xi'an Xianyang International Airport (XIY) - Opened in 2020, this airport is a major hub for Xi'an and has a capacity to handle 30 million passengers per year.

- Guangzhou Huadu International Airport (HUH) - Expected to open in 2025, this airport will be a major hub for Guangzhou and have a capacity to handle 30 million passengers per year.
- Shenzhen Qianhai International Airport (QHA) - Expected to open in 2025, this airport will be a major hub for Shenzhen and have a capacity to handle 20 million passengers per year.
- Chengdu Huayuan International Airport (HYN) - Expected to open in 2025, this airport will be a major hub for Chengdu and have a capacity to handle 20 million passengers per year.
