Chelsea sign new player 2018

A blast from the past!

In the summer of 2018, Chelsea FC signed the following new players:

1. Jorginho (Midfielder) - Signed from Napoli on June 11, 2018, for a reported fee of £57 million.
2. Kepa Arrizabalaga (Goalkeeper) - Signed from Athletic Bilbao on August 8, 2018, for a world-record fee for a goalkeeper of £72 million.
3. Mateo Kovačić (Midfielder) - Signed from Real Madrid on July 5, 2018, for a reported fee of £40 million.
4. Robert Huth (Defender) - Signed from Leicester City on July 25, 2018, as a free agent.
5. Antonio Rüdiger (Defender) - Signed from Roma on July 12, 2017, but extended his contract until 2022 in June 2018.

These signings were made by Chelsea's then-manager, Antonio Conte, as part of his efforts to strengthen the team ahead of the 2018-19 season.
