Chelsea new sign player 2017 18
During the 2017-2018 season, Chelsea FC signed the following new players:
- Alvaro Morata (Forward) - Signed from Real Madrid on July 21, 2017, for a fee of £58 million.
- Tiemoue Bakayoko (Midfielder) - Signed from AS Monaco on July 15, 2017, for a fee of £40 million.
- Antonio Rudiger (Defender) - Signed from Roma on July 12, 2017, for a fee of £29 million.
- Willy Caballero (Goalkeeper) - Signed from Manchester City on July 12, 2017, as a free agent.
- Danny Drinkwater (Midfielder) - Signed from Leicester City on August 8, 2017, for a fee of £35 million.
- Davide Zappacosta (Defender) - Signed from Roma on August 14, 2017, for a fee of £23 million.
- Ola Aina (Defender) - Signed from Chelsea's youth academy on August 31, 2017, and loaned back to the club for the season.
These signings were made by Chelsea's manager at the time, Antonio Conte, as part of his efforts to strengthen the team and challenge for major honors.
