Check matric results

You can check your matric results in several ways:

Online:

  1. Department of Basic Education (DBE) Website: You can check your matric results on the DBE website by following these steps:
    • Go to the DBE website (www.education.gov.za)
    • Click on "Matric Results" under the "News and Announcements" section
    • Enter your exam number or name and surname
    • Click "Search" to view your results
  2. Independent Examination Board (IEB) Website: If you wrote your matric exams through the IEB, you can check your results on their website:
    • Go to the IEB website (www.ieb.co.za)
    • Click on "Matric Results" under the "Students" section
    • Enter your exam number or name and surname
    • Click "Search" to view your results

Mobile App:

  1. DBE Matric Results App: You can download the DBE Matric Results app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store:
    • Search for "DBE Matric Results" and download the app
    • Enter your exam number or name and surname
    • Click "Search" to view your results

In-Person:

  1. School: You can visit your school and ask the principal or a teacher to check your results for you.
  2. Examination Centre: You can visit the examination centre where you wrote your exams and ask the officials to check your results.

By Phone:

  1. DBE Hotline: You can call the DBE hotline on 012 357 3000 to check your results.
  2. IEB Hotline: If you wrote your exams through the IEB, you can call their hotline on 011 620 0700 to check your results.
