Characteristics of a new life in christ

When a person places their faith in Jesus Christ and receives salvation, they experience a transformation that brings about new life in Christ. Here are some characteristics of a new life in Christ:

  1. New Creation: As a believer, you are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). Your old life is gone, and you have been made new in Christ.
  2. Righteousness: You are declared righteous by God, not because of your own works, but because of Christ's righteousness imputed to you (Romans 3:24-25).
  3. Forgiveness: You are forgiven of all your sins, past, present, and future (Colossians 1:14, Ephesians 1:7).
  4. New Heart: You receive a new heart, one that is soft and responsive to God's Spirit (Ezekiel 36:26).
  5. Spiritual Life: You are given eternal life, which is a spiritual life that begins now and will continue into eternity (John 3:16, 1 John 5:11-13).
