Change view in new gmail
To change the view in the new Gmail interface, you can follow these steps:
- Log in to your Gmail account and click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page.
- Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the "General" tab and click on the "Configure" button next to "Conversation view".
- Select the view you want to use from the dropdown menu:
- "Conversation view" (default): This view groups related emails together in a single thread.
- "Linear view": This view displays emails in a linear list, without grouping related emails together.
- Click "Save Changes" to apply the new view setting.
Alternatively, you can also change the view by using the keyboard shortcut:
- Press the "V" key on your keyboard to toggle between conversation view and linear view.
Note that the new Gmail interface also offers a "Compact" view, which can be accessed by clicking on the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the page and selecting "Compact view". This view displays more emails on the screen, but may be less readable for some users.
