Cast of the new lion king

The cast of the 2019 live-action remake of Disney's "The Lion King" includes:

• Donald Glover as Simba: The main protagonist of the story, a young lion who must assume his rightful place as king of the Pride Lands.
• Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala: Simba's best friend and future mate, a strong and courageous lioness who helps Simba reclaim his throne.

• John Kani as Rafiki: A wise old mandrill who serves as a mentor and advisor to Simba, and helps him understand his destiny.
• Billy Eichner as Timon: A wise-cracking and street-smart meerkat who becomes Simba's friend and confidant.
• Seth Rogen as Pumbaa: A lovable and laid-back warthog who becomes Simba's friend and confidant.
• John Oliver as Zazu: A red-billed hornbill who serves as Mufasa's majordomo and advisor, and later becomes Simba's advisor.
• Florence Kasumba as Shenzi: A sassy and cunning hyena who is one of Scar's loyal followers.
• Eric André as Azizi: A goofy and dim-witted hyena who is one of Scar's loyal followers.
• Keegan-Michael Key as Kamari: A goofy and dim-witted hyena who is one of Scar's loyal followers.
