Cameroon win 5th afcon title
I think there may be some confusion here!
Cameroon has actually won the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) five times, but not recently. Their last AFCON title was in 2002, when they won the tournament under the leadership of coach Winfried Schäfer.
Here's a list of Cameroon's AFCON titles:
- 1972: Cameroon won the inaugural AFCON tournament, defeating Congo 5-3 in the final.
- 1984: Cameroon won their second title, defeating Nigeria 3-1 in the final.
- 1988: Cameroon won their third title, defeating Nigeria 1-0 in the final.
- 2000: Cameroon won their fourth title, defeating Nigeria 2-2 (4-3 in penalties) in the final.
- 2002: Cameroon won their fifth title, defeating Senegal 3-2 in the final.
It's worth noting that Cameroon has not won the AFCON title since 2002, and their recent performances in the tournament have been inconsistent.
