CAF (Confédération Africaine de Football) has announced plans to assess the anti-virus measures in Cameroon ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (CHAN) tournament.

The CHAN tournament is scheduled to take place from January 16 to February 7, 2023, in Cameroon, and CAF has expressed concerns about the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases during the event.

According to a statement released by CAF, the organization will conduct a thorough assessment of the anti-virus measures in place in Cameroon, including the country's vaccination program, testing protocols, and quarantine procedures.

The assessment will also cover the measures in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 within the tournament's venues, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), social distancing, and crowd control.

CAF has also emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants, including players, officials, and spectators, during the tournament.

The assessment is expected to be completed in the coming weeks, and CAF will work closely with the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) and other stakeholders to ensure that all necessary measures are in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases during the tournament.
