Caf postpones 2018 women cup nation

CAF (Confédération Africaine de Football) postponed the 2018 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (AWCON) due to various reasons, including:

  1. Financial constraints: CAF faced financial difficulties, which made it challenging to organize the tournament.
  2. Infrastructure issues: Many African countries lacked suitable stadiums and facilities to host the tournament.
  3. Scheduling conflicts: The 2018 AWCON was initially scheduled to take place in Ghana from November 16 to December 1, 2018. However, the tournament was postponed due to conflicts with other international competitions, including the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
  4. Logistical challenges: Organizing a women's tournament on the continent posed unique logistical challenges, including transportation, accommodation, and security arrangements.

As a result, the 2018 AWCON was postponed to 2018, and the tournament was eventually held from November 17 to December 1, 2018, in Ghana.
