The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is a three-year undergraduate degree program that equips students with the knowledge and skills to design, develop, test, and maintain software systems. The program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in computer science, including programming languages, data structures, algorithms, computer architecture, and software engineering.
Program Objectives
- To equip students with a solid foundation in computer science and software engineering
- To provide students with the skills to design, develop, test, and maintain software systems
- To prepare students for careers in software development, IT, and related fields
- To provide students with a strong foundation for further studies in computer science and related fields
Program Structure
The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is a three-year program that consists of 18 modules, including:
- 12 core modules
- 4 elective modules
- 2 research modules
Admission Requirements
- A minimum of two principal passes at Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent
- A minimum of a credit pass in Mathematics and English Language at UCE or its equivalent
- A minimum of a credit pass in Computer Science or its equivalent at UCE or its equivalent
Program Fees
- Tuition fees: UGX 2,500,000 per semester
- Registration fees: UGX 100,000 per semester
- Other fees: UGX 500,000 per semester
