Buhari new year message 2019

Here is the New Year message delivered by President Muhammadu Buhari on January 1, 2019:

"Fellow Nigerians,

As we mark the beginning of a new year, I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to Almighty God for seeing us through another year. I also want to extend my warmest wishes to all Nigerians, both at home and abroad, as we embark on this new journey.

2018 was a challenging year for our country, but we made significant progress in many areas. We made progress in the fight against corruption, with several high-profile cases being prosecuted and convictions secured. We also made progress in the fight against terrorism, with the military making significant gains against Boko Haram.

We also made progress in the area of infrastructure development, with the completion of several road and rail projects. We also made progress in the area of power generation and distribution, with the addition of new power plants and the upgrade of existing ones.

However, we still have a lot of work to do. We still have to address the challenges of poverty, unemployment, and inequality. We still have to improve the quality of our education and healthcare systems. We still have to ensure that our economy is diversified and that we are not too dependent on a few sectors.

As we move into 2019, I want to assure you that my administration is committed to continuing to work hard to address these challenges. We will continue to work to create an environment that is conducive to investment and job creation. We will continue to work to improve the quality of our education and healthcare systems. And we will continue to work to ensure that our economy is diversified and that we are not too dependent on a few sectors.

I want to also take this opportunity to thank the Nigerian people for their patience and understanding. I know that we have not always met your expectations, but I want to assure you that we are doing our best to serve you.

As we move into 2019, I want to call on all Nigerians to come together and work towards building a better future for ourselves and for our children. Let us put aside our differences and work towards a common goal. Let us work together to build a Nigeria that is just, equitable, and prosperous for all.

Thank you and God bless Nigeria."
