Buhari apologises to abiolas family over june 12 annulment

I think there may be some misinformation here.

As far as I know, there is no credible source indicating that President Muhammadu Buhari has apologized to the Abiola family over the annulment of the June 12, 1993 presidential election.

In fact, President Buhari has been criticized for not taking concrete steps to address the issue of the annulment, which many Nigerians see as a major injustice. Abiola, a businessman and politician, was the winner of the election, which was widely seen as a democratic milestone in Nigeria's history.

In 2018, President Buhari posthumously awarded Abiola the highest national honor, the Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR), and declared June 12 as Democracy Day, replacing May 29 as the country's democracy day. While this was seen as a step in the right direction, many Nigerians felt that it was not enough to make amends for the annulment.

So, to clarify, I'm not aware of any apology from President Buhari to the Abiola family over the annulment of the June 12 election.
