Brics new members

BRICS is a grouping of five major emerging national economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. The organization was established in 2006 and has been expanding its membership since then. Here are the new members that have joined BRICS:

  1. South Africa: Joined in 2010, becoming the fifth member of BRICS.
  2. Argentina: Invited to join BRICS in 2014, but has not yet officially joined.
  3. Uzbekistan: Invited to join BRICS in 2021, and is expected to become the sixth member of the organization.

  4. Iran: Has been an observer since 2012.
  5. Bangladesh: Has been an observer since 2012.
  6. Vietnam: Has been an observer since 2012.
  7. Kenya: Has been an observer since 2014.
  8. Uganda: Has been an observer since 2014.
