Breaking court issues bench warrant for arrest of innosson
It appears that a bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of Innoson Motors boss, Innocent Chukwuma, also known as Innoson, by the Federal High Court in Lagos.
According to reports, the warrant was issued by Justice Ayokunle Faji, who is presiding over a suit filed by Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) against Innoson Motors and its chairman, Innocent Chukwuma.
The court had earlier ordered Innoson to pay GTB the sum of N2.5 billion, being the amount he allegedly owed the bank. However, Innoson failed to comply with the court's order, leading to the issuance of the bench warrant.
The warrant is a formal order issued by the court, directing the police or other law enforcement agencies to arrest and bring Innoson before the court to answer for his failure to comply with the court's earlier order.
It is worth noting that Innoson has been involved in a long-standing legal battle with GTB over a disputed loan facility. The dispute has been ongoing for several years, with both parties presenting their cases in court.
The issuance of the bench warrant is a significant development in the case, as it indicates that the court is taking a firm stance against Innoson's failure to comply with its earlier order. It remains to be seen how Innoson will respond to the warrant and whether he will be arrested and brought before the court to answer for his actions.
