Boston Breakers
The Boston Breakers were a professional women's soccer team based in Boston, Massachusetts. They were founded in 2008 and played in the USWNT from 2009 to 2018. The team was owned by the Kraft Group, the same organization that owns the New England Patriots (NFL) and the New England Revolution (MLS). The Breakers played their home games at Jordan Field on the campus of Harvard University.
Unfortunately, the team folded in 2018 due to financial difficulties.
North Carolina Courage
The North Carolina Courage is a professional women's soccer team based in Cary, North Carolina. They were founded in 2017 as the North Carolina FC Women, but rebranded as the Courage in 2018. The team is owned by the same ownership group as the North Carolina FC men's team, which plays in the USL Championship.
The Courage play their home games at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina. They have been one of the most successful teams in the USWNT, winning the league championship in 2018 and 2019, as well as the NWSL Shield (regular season title) in 2018 and 2019.
Both teams have a strong following and have contributed to the growth of women's professional soccer in the United States.
