Bible reading for welcoming new month
What a wonderful idea! Here are some Bible reading suggestions for welcoming a new month:
For a fresh start:
- Psalm 118:24 - "This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." (NIV)
- Isaiah 43:19 - "For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland." (NLT)
For guidance and direction:
- Proverbs 3:5-6 - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." (NIV)
- Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (NIV)
For encouragement and hope:
- Psalm 34:17-18 - "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." (NIV)
- Romans 8:28 - "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (NIV)
For a sense of purpose and calling:
- Matthew 22:37-40 - "Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” (NIV)
- Ephesians 2:10 - "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (NIV)
Choose one or two of these passages to read and reflect on as you welcome the new month. May God's Word bring you encouragement, guidance, and hope as you step into this new season!
