Benefits of grace of god in the new testament pdf
Here are some benefits of God's grace in the New Testament:
Salvation
- Justification: "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
- Redemption: "In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace." (Ephesians 1:7)
Sanctification
- Transformation: "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Thessalonians 5:23)
- Renewal: "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." (Romans 12:2)
Fellowship with God
- Adoption: "For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified." (Romans 8:29-30)
- Access to God: "Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh." (Hebrews 10:19-20)
Spiritual Growth
- Wisdom: "But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the mighty. And God has chosen the base things of the world and the things which are despised, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh may glory in His presence." (1 Corinthians 1:27-29)
- Strength: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13)
Overcoming Sin
- Victory over sin: "For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace." (Romans 6:14)
- Deliverance from sin: "And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God." (1 Corinthians 6:11)
Hope and Assurance
- Eternal life: "And this is the promise that He promised us—eternal life." (1 John 2:25)
- Inheritance: "In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will." (Ephesians 1:11)
