Dan and his friends team up with the Masked Maru to stop the Vestals and the Resistance from getting their hands on it. Along the way, they learn more about the Masked Maru's past and its connection to the ancient Bakugan, the Original Dragon.

The episode ends with the Masked Maru joining Dan's team, and the stage is set for more epic battles between the Bakugan and the Vestals.
