Babcock university requirements for new students
Babcock University is a private Christian university located in Ilisan-Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria. Here are the general requirements for new students:
Admission Requirements:
- O'Level Requirements:
- Five (5) O'Level credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
- The subjects must include the following:
- For Arts and Social Sciences: English Language, Literature-in-English, and three other subjects.
- For Sciences and Technology: English Language, Mathematics, and three other subjects.
- For Business and Management: English Language, Mathematics, and three other subjects.
- JAMB Requirements:
- Candidates must have a minimum score of 180 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Candidates must also choose Babcock University as their first choice institution.
- Post-UTME Requirements:
- Candidates who meet the O'Level and JAMB requirements will be invited for a Post-UTME screening exercise.
- The screening exercise will test candidates' knowledge in English Language, Mathematics, and their chosen subject.
- Other Requirements:
- Candidates must be at least 16 years old by the time of admission.
- Candidates must have a good moral character and be willing to abide by the rules and regulations of the university.
Specific Requirements for Different Faculties:
- Faculty of Arts:
- In addition to the general requirements, candidates must have a credit in Literature-in-English.
- Faculty of Sciences:
- In addition to the general requirements, candidates must have credits in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
- Faculty of Technology:
- In addition to the general requirements, candidates must have credits in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
- Faculty of Business and Management:
- In addition to the general requirements, candidates must have credits in Mathematics and Economics.
Additional Requirements for International Students:
- Visa:
- International students must obtain a student visa from the Nigerian Embassy or High Commission in their home country.
