Auchi polytechnic to become university soon

Auchi Polytechnic, a renowned institution in Nigeria, is indeed on the path to becoming a university. In 2020, the Federal Government of Nigeria approved the upgrade of the polytechnic to a university.

The upgrade was announced by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, during a visit to the institution. According to reports, the decision was made after a thorough assessment of the polytechnic's infrastructure, academic programs, and research activities.

As a university, Auchi Polytechnic will be able to offer a wider range of academic programs, including undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, as well as research opportunities. The institution will also have more autonomy to manage its affairs and make decisions on its own.

The upgrade is expected to boost the institution's reputation and attract more students, staff, and resources. It will also provide opportunities for the institution to collaborate with other universities and research institutions locally and internationally.

The new university will be known as Auchi University of Technology (AUTech) and will be one of the few universities of technology in Nigeria. The institution will focus on providing high-quality education and research in areas such as engineering, technology, and sciences.

The upgrade is a significant milestone for Auchi Polytechnic and its stakeholders, and it is expected to have a positive impact on the institution's growth and development.
