Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has hit out at the atmosphere in the Premier League, admitting he misses Ligue 1.
Lacazette joined Arsenal last summer from his hometown club Lyon, where he had scored over 100 goals in an eight-season spell. And despite a mixed first campaign in the Premier League, the Frenchman is currently enjoying life under Unai Emery, with five goals and three assists in 10 games this season.
However, despite adapting well to life in England, he admitted to Le Progres that there are aspects of the Premier League that he doesn’t like.
He said: “I miss Ligue 1’s atmosphere. In England, the fans are more spectators than supporters. There’s a better atmosphere in French stadiums.”
Lacazette has formed a successful partnership with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this year, and he had high praise for his fellow attacker.
“It is good, he is like my brother. We talk every day and we love working together.”
