According to recent reports, Arsenal has appointed Mikel Arteta as their new head coach. Arteta, a former Arsenal player and assistant coach, has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the club.

Arteta, 37, played for Arsenal from 2011 to 2016 and was a key player during the club's successful period under Arsène Wenger. He has also gained coaching experience as the assistant coach of Manchester City under Pep Guardiola.
