Arsenal new players 2019
Arsenal FC signed the following new players in the 2019 transfer window:
- Nicolas Pépé (Lille) - Forward - Signed on August 1, 2019, for a reported fee of £72 million.
- David Luiz (Chelsea) - Defender - Signed on August 8, 2019, for a reported fee of £8 million.
- Kieran Tierney (Celtic) - Defender - Signed on August 8, 2019, for a reported fee of £25 million.
- William Saliba (Saint-Étienne) - Defender - Signed on July 27, 2019, for a reported fee of £27 million. (Loan deal for the 2019-20 season, with an option to buy).
- Dani Ceballos (Real Madrid) - Midfielder - Signed on July 19, 2019, on a season-long loan deal.
- Gabriel Martinelli (Ituano) - Forward - Signed on July 2, 2019, for a reported fee of £6 million.
These signings were made by Arsenal's head coach Unai Emery, who was in charge of the team until November 2019. After Emery's departure, Freddie Ljungberg took over as interim head coach, and later Mikel Arteta was appointed as the new head coach.
