April 1st is new year's

I think there may be some confusion here!

While April 1st is indeed a significant date, it's not actually considered the start of the new year in most cultures. In fact, April 1st is often referred to as "April Fools' Day" in many countries, where people play pranks on each other and try to trick their friends and family into believing something that's not true.

The traditional start of the new year is usually celebrated on January 1st, which is known as New Year's Day. This date is widely recognized and celebrated around the world, marking the beginning of a new year on the Gregorian calendar.

So, while April 1st may be a fun and playful day, it's not typically considered the start of the new year!
