APC CHAIRMEN FORUM DISASSOCIATES SELF FROM CONFIDENCE VOTE ON OSHIOMHOLE

The APC Chairmen Forum, comprising Chairmen of Local Governments, Area Councils, and Ward Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has dissociated itself from the recent confidence vote on the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

At a meeting held on Wednesday, 24th February 2021, the Forum resolved that the confidence vote was not a true reflection of the feelings of APC Chairmen across the country. The Forum noted that the vote was orchestrated and manipulated to achieve a predetermined outcome.

The Forum expressed disappointment that some Chairmen who participated in the vote were coerced and intimidated into voting in a particular way. The Forum also noted that some Chairmen who were expected to participate in the vote were deliberately excluded from the process.

The APC Chairmen Forum, therefore, rejects the outcome of the confidence vote and considers it a sham. The Forum demands a more transparent and inclusive process for resolving issues within the party.

The Forum also called on the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party to take immediate steps to address the grievances of APC Chairmen across the country. The Forum urged the NWC to engage with Chairmen and other stakeholders to find a lasting solution to the challenges facing the party.

The APC Chairmen Forum is committed to the progress and unity of the party and will continue to work towards the success of the APC in the forthcoming elections.

Signed:

[Your Name] Chairman, APC Chairmen Forum
