Apc calls on federal government to sanction wike
It appears that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on the Federal Government to sanction Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.
According to reports, the APC made this call due to what it described as Wike's "persistent disregard for the rule of law and his administration's alleged complicity in electoral violence and rigging".
The party's National Publicity Secretary, Lanre Issa-Onilu, was quoted as saying that Wike's actions were "unacceptable and a threat to the stability and unity of the country".
The APC also accused Wike of using his office to intimidate and harass political opponents, as well as to undermine the authority of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
It's worth noting that Wike has been a vocal critic of the APC and has been involved in several high-profile political controversies in recent years.
Do you have any thoughts on this development? Should the Federal Government indeed sanction Wike, or is this a political witch-hunt?
