Android sync sms to new phone
The age-old problem of transferring SMS messages from an old Android phone to a new one!
There are a few ways to sync SMS messages from an old Android phone to a new one. Here are some methods:
Method 1: Google Drive
- On your old Android phone, go to Settings > Accounts > Google > Google Drive.
- Enable Google Drive backup and set the backup frequency to "Every hour" or "Every 15 minutes".
- On your new Android phone, go to Settings > Accounts > Google > Google Drive.
- Sign in with the same Google account used on your old phone.
- Go to the Google Drive app and download the SMS backup file.
Method 2: SMS Backup & Restore
- Install SMS Backup & Restore on your old Android phone.
- Open the app and select "Backup" to create a backup of your SMS messages.
- Transfer the backup file to your new Android phone using a file transfer method (e.g., USB cable, Bluetooth, or cloud storage).
- Install SMS Backup & Restore on your new Android phone.
- Open the app and select "Restore" to import the backup file.
Method 3: SMS Sync
- Install SMS Sync on your old Android phone.
- Open the app and select "Backup" to create a backup of your SMS messages.
- Transfer the backup file to your new Android phone using a file transfer method (e.g., USB cable, Bluetooth, or cloud storage).
- Install SMS Sync on your new Android phone.
- Open the app and select "Restore" to import the backup file.
Method 4: Manual Transfer
- On your old Android phone, go to Settings > Applications > SMS > SMS Backup.
- Select "Export" to create a CSV file of your SMS messages.
- Transfer the CSV file to your new Android phone using a file transfer method (e.g., USB cable, Bluetooth, or cloud storage).
- On your new Android phone, go to Settings > Applications > SMS > SMS Backup.
- Select "Import" and choose the CSV file you transferred.
Remember to transfer your SMS messages before wiping your old phone or performing a factory reset.
