Again efcc says discovered 37 5m banana island property belonging to diezani madueke

It seems like there's another update on the ongoing investigation into the assets of Diezani Alison-Madueke, the former Minister of Petroleum Resources in Nigeria.

According to reports, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has allegedly discovered 37 properties worth N5 billion (approximately $12.5 million) on Banana Island, a luxurious residential area in Lagos, Nigeria. These properties are believed to belong to Diezani Alison-Madueke.

This is not the first time that Diezani's assets have been linked to Banana Island. In 2017, the EFCC seized several properties on the island, including a N23 billion ($57.5 million) mansion, which was allegedly owned by Diezani.

Diezani has been accused of embezzling billions of dollars from the Nigerian government during her tenure as Minister of Petroleum Resources from 2011 to 2015. She has been charged with corruption and money laundering, but she has denied any wrongdoing.

It's worth noting that the EFCC has not officially confirmed the discovery of these new properties, and Diezani's representatives have not commented on the allegations.

What do you think about this development? Should Diezani be held accountable for her alleged actions?
