Eligibility Criteria:

• The competition is open to African artists, producers, and music professionals who have released music between January 1, 2017, and September 30, 2018.
• Entries can be submitted in various categories, including:

  • Best Female Artist

  • Best African R&B/Soul
  • Best African Pop
  • Best African Hip-Hop
  • Best African Contemporary
  • Best African Traditional
  • Best African Jazz

  • Best African Album
  • Best African Music Video
  • Best African Collaboration

Submission Process:

• Artists and music professionals can submit their entries online through the AFRIMA website: www.afrima.org.
• Each entry must be accompanied by a payment of $100 (USD) for the submission fee.
• The submission deadline is September 30, 2018.

Judging Process:

• A panel of judges comprising music industry experts and professionals will review and evaluate the entries based on criteria such as originality, creativity, and overall impact.
• The top 5 nominees in each category will be announced in October 2018, and the winners will be revealed at the AFRIMA Awards ceremony in November 2018.

Prizes:
