Add new user account nagios
Here are the steps to add a new user account in Nagios:
Step 1: Access the Nagios Web Interface
Open a web browser and navigate to the Nagios web interface. The default URL is http://your_nagios_server_ip/nagios
(replace your_nagios_server_ip
with the IP address or hostname of your Nagios server).
Step 2: Log in as the Administrator
Log in to the Nagios web interface using the administrator username and password. The default administrator username is nagios
and the password is nagios
(unless you have changed it).
Step 3: Go to the Users Page
Click on the "Users" link in the top navigation menu.
Step 4: Add a New User
Click on the "Add User" button.
Step 5: Enter User Information
Enter the following information for the new user:
- Username: Enter a unique username for the new user.
- Password: Enter a password for the new user.
- Email: Enter the email address for the new user.
- Role: Select the role for the new user from the dropdown menu. The available roles are:
- Admin: Has full access to all features and functions.
- User: Has limited access to features and functions.
- ReadOnly: Has read-only access to all features and functions.
Step 6: Save the New User
Click the "Save" button to create the new user account.
Step 7: Verify the New User
Log out of the Nagios web interface and log back in using the new user credentials. Verify that the new user has the expected access and permissions.
