Add new chat on tawkto
To add a new chat on Tawk.to, follow these steps:
Step 1: Log in to your Tawk.to account
Go to www.tawk.to and log in to your account using your email and password.
Step 2: Click on "Chats"
Once logged in, click on the "Chats" tab on the top navigation menu.
Step 3: Click on "New Chat"
Click on the "New Chat" button on the top right corner of the page.
Step 4: Enter Chat Details
Enter the following details:
- Chat Name: Give a name to your new chat (e.g., "New Customer Inquiry").
- Chat Description: Add a brief description of the chat (e.g., "For customers with questions about our products").
- Chat Type: Choose the type of chat you want to create (e.g., "Customer Support", "Sales", etc.).
- Chat Priority: Set the priority level of the chat (e.g., "High", "Medium", "Low").
Step 5: Set Chat Settings
Set the following chat settings:
- Auto-assign: Choose whether you want to auto-assign the chat to a specific agent or not.
- Time zone: Set the time zone for the chat.
- Language: Set the language for the chat.
- Custom Fields: Add any custom fields you want to collect from customers (e.g., phone number, email, etc.).
Step 6: Save the Chat
Click the "Save" button to create the new chat.
Step 7: Configure Chat Settings (Optional)
You can further configure the chat settings by clicking on the "Settings" icon (gear icon) next to the chat name. Here, you can set up additional settings such as:
- Chat hours: Set the hours when the chat is available.
- Chat agents: Assign specific agents to the chat.
- Chat triggers: Set up triggers to automatically assign chats to agents based on specific conditions.
