URGENT CALL TO ACTION
STOP THE KILLING IN BENUE STATE, NIGERIA
PETITION TO IG OF POLICE
We, the undersigned, are shocked and outraged by the senseless killings in Benue State, Nigeria. The recent attacks on innocent civilians, including women and children, are a stark reminder of the devastating impact of violence and insecurity in our country.
As we speak, the people of Benue State are living in fear, with many forced to flee their homes and communities. The trauma and suffering caused by these attacks are immeasurable, and it is our duty to demand action from those responsible for maintaining law and order in our country.
Therefore, we are calling on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to take immediate and decisive action to:
- Deploy additional security personnel to Benue State to prevent further attacks and protect innocent civilians.
- Investigate the recent attacks and bring those responsible to justice.
- Work with local authorities to identify and address the root causes of the violence and ensure that those affected receive the necessary support and assistance.
We urge the IGP to take immediate action to address this crisis and restore peace and stability to Benue State. We cannot afford to wait any longer for justice and security for all Nigerians.
