Act 18 1 end good new bible
Here is the 18th chapter of the book of Acts in the Bible, ending at verse 1:
Acts 18:1-1
1 After this, Paul left Athens and went to Corinth. 2 There he met a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had ordered all the Jews to leave Rome. Paul went to see them, 3 and because he was a tentmaker, as they were, he stayed and worked with them. 4 Every Sabbath he reasoned in the synagogue, trying to win the Jews. They were about to seize him, 5 but when his friends heard about this, they came and disarmed them and brought him down to his lodgings.
6 Greatly impressed, the brothers and sisters in the Lord increased their efforts, and from Paul’s preaching the number of believers greatly increased. 7 There was a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, who was an eloquent speaker and well-versed in the Scriptures. 8 He had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and he spoke with great fervor and taught about Jesus accurately, though he knew only the baptism of John. 9 He began to speak boldly in the synagogue, but when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained the way of God more accurately. 10 And when Apollos wanted to go to Achaia, the brothers and sisters wrote to the disciples there, urging them to welcome him. When he arrived, he greatly helped those who through grace had believed, 11 for he powerfully refuted the Jews in public debate, proving from the Scriptures that Jesus was the Messiah.
