Biography:
Abdulmalik al-Houthi was born in 1979 in Saada, Yemen. He is the son of Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi, a prominent Zaidi Shia cleric who was killed in 2004. Abdulmalik al-Houthi became the leader of the Houthi movement after his father's death and has been leading the group since then. He is known for his anti-Saudi and anti-American rhetoric and has been accused of being a terrorist by the United States and Saudi Arabia.
