A new heaven and a new earth bible verse
A beautiful topic!
The Bible speaks of a new heaven and a new earth in several passages, but one of the most well-known is:
"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.'"
— Revelation 21:1-4 (NIV)
This passage describes a future time when God creates a new heaven and a new earth, and the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, comes down from heaven to be with His people. It's a time of great joy and celebration, where there will be no more suffering, pain, or tears.
Another passage that speaks of a new heaven and a new earth is:
"For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable has put on the imperishable, and the mortal has put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: 'Death is swallowed up in victory.' 'O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?’ The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain."
— 1 Corinthians 15:53-58 (ESV)
This passage speaks of the transformation that will take place when we receive our new bodies in the resurrection, and how death will be defeated. It's a passage that gives us hope and encouragement to persevere in our faith, knowing that our labor in the Lord is not in vain.
I hope these passages bring you comfort and hope!
