A discovery of witches new season
Exciting news for fans of the All Souls Trilogy!
A Discovery of Witches, a fantasy drama series based on Deborah Harkness's novels, has been renewed for a fourth season. The show premiered on Sky One in the UK and on SundanceTV in the US, and has gained a loyal following worldwide.
Here's what we know so far about Season 4:
Plot: The new season will continue the story of Diana Bishop (played by Teresa Palmer), a witch and historian, and Matthew de Clermont (played by Matthew Goode), a vampire and geneticist. The season will explore the aftermath of the events in Season 3, which saw the characters facing a new threat to their world and their relationships.
New characters: Season 4 will introduce new characters, including a mysterious figure from Matthew's past, who will shake things up for the couple. There will also be a new villain, who will pose a significant threat to the world of witches, vampires, and demons.
Returning characters: Expect to see familiar faces, including Sarah Bishop (played by Alexandra Roach), Diana's sister; Marcus Whitmore (played by Edward Bluemel), a vampire and Matthew's nephew; and Ysabeau de Clermont (played by Aiysha Hart), Matthew's mother.
Production: The new season is currently in production, with filming taking place in the UK and Europe. The show's creators, Bad Wolf Productions, have confirmed that the season will consist of 8 episodes, just like the previous seasons.
Release date: Unfortunately, there is no official release date for Season 4 yet. However, given the production schedule and the show's history, we can expect the new season to premiere in late 2023 or early 2024.
Stay tuned for more updates, and get ready to dive back into the world of witches, vampires, and demons!
