Well, I want to tell you that you're not alone. We all go through seasons of uncertainty and doubt. But today, I want to share with you a message of hope and encouragement. A message that says, "There is a new horizon ahead, and it's full of promise and possibility."

The Problem:

In our text today, we see Jesus and his disciples on a boat, sailing across the Sea of Galilee. But as they're sailing, a fierce storm comes up, and the disciples are terrified. They're crying out to Jesus, "Lord, save us! We're going to die!" And Jesus, who's sleeping peacefully in the back of the boat, wakes up and calms the storm with just a few words.

But here's the thing: Jesus didn't just calm the storm. He also got out of the boat and started walking on water. Can you imagine the disciples' shock and amazement as they saw Jesus doing this? It was like nothing they had ever seen before.

The Solution:

So what does this story have to do with us? Well, I think it's a picture of what happens when we're facing challenges and uncertainties in our lives. We're like the disciples, crying out to God, "Lord, save us! We're going to die!" And God, in his mercy and love, comes to us and calms the storm.

But then, he invites us to take a step of faith and get out of the boat. He invites us to trust him and follow him, even when we can't see what's ahead. And as we do, we discover that he's not just a Savior who rescues us from our problems, but a Guide who leads us to new horizons of possibility and promise.

The Promise:

So what does this new horizon look like? It's different for each of us, but I want to suggest that it's a place of freedom, of joy, of purpose, and of fulfillment. It's a place where we're living out our God-given passions and talents, and where we're making a difference in the world.

It's a place where we're not limited by our past or our fears, but where we're empowered by God's presence and guidance. It's a place where we're not just surviving, but thriving, and where we're experiencing the fullness of life that God has for us.

The Call:

So what's the call to this new horizon? It's a call to trust God, to follow him, and to step out in faith. It's a call to leave behind the familiar and the comfortable, and to venture into the unknown.

It's a call to be willing to take risks, to be vulnerable, and to be open to God's leading. It's a call to surrender our fears and our doubts, and to trust that God is with us every step of the way.

So I want to leave you with a question today: What's the new horizon that God is calling you to? Is it a new job, a new relationship, a new ministry, or a new chapter in your life? Whatever it is, I want to encourage you to take a step of faith and trust God to lead you there.
