Here are 8 new federal universities in Nigeria:
- Federal University, Lokoja (Kogi State) - Established in 2011
- Federal University, Dutse (Jigawa State) - Established in 2011
- Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (Ekiti State) - Established in 2011
- Federal University, Kashere (Adamawa State) - Established in 2011
- Federal University, Lafia (Nasarawa State) - Established in 2011
- Federal University, Gashua (Yobe State) - Established in 2013
- Federal University, Dutsin-Ma (Katsina State) - Established in 2014
- Federal University, Birnin Kebbi (Kebbi State) - Established in 2014
These universities were established by the Federal Government of Nigeria to increase access to higher education and promote development in various parts of the country.
